Run Team CASA, support children in foster care that have experienced abuse and neglect.
Team CASA 2025 is now accepting applications for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
To receive a race bib for Team CASA, you must raise a minimum of $1,500 to support our mission.
Runners receive the following benefits for joining Team CASA:
- Guaranteed entry for the 2025 Bank of Chicago Marathon*
- Access to the official Nike Marathon Training Plan (starting late spring 2025)
- Fundraising support including a personal fundraising page, social media promotions and online tools to help you exceed your individual fundraising goal
- Reimbursement of your registration fee (after you reach the minimum fundraising goal
- The incredible feeling of knowing that your efforts will help children in the foster care system receive the help they need to find safe and loving homes
* You must complete all CASA of River Valley Team requirements AND Bank of America Chicago Marathon Requirements. Joining our team DOES NOT automatically guarantee you a spot in the Chicago Marathon. Email completed and signed waiver to Abbey Fitzgerald: [email protected].
November 21st, 2024 — Join Team CASA before the marathon lottery closes on Thursday, November 21st at 2 P.M. (U.S. Central Time) to lock in our lowest fundraising minimum of $1,500.
After November 21st, 2024 — After the marathon lottery has closed on November 21st individual joining will be required to fulfill a minimum fundraising goal of $2,100.
May 12th 2025 –50% of your Fundraising Minimum Due
October 6th, 2025 — 75% of your Fundraising Minimum Due
October 12th, 2025 @ 7am — Chicago Marathon

Guaranteed Entry Application Opens - Oct 22, 2024
The application period for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon begins.
Team CASA Application Due - $1,500 registration is available until November 21, 2024. After November 21, 2024, the registration commitment is $2,100.
Registration will close with the lottery close on November 21, 2024 at 2p.m. (U.S. Central Time). Once lottery winners are announced, the registration will re-open with a minimum fundraising commitment of $2,100.
Team CASA Waiver Due - Upon Registration
This waiver acknowledges the runner’s fundraising commitment as well as recognizing the potential risks of running in the marathon. Email signed waiver to [email protected].
50% of Fundraising Minimum Due - May 12, 2025
At this point, 50% of your fundraising minimum is due.
75% of Fundraising Minimum Due - Oct 6, 2025
At this point, 75% of your fundraising minimum is due.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon - Oct 12, 2025

100% of Fundraising Minimum Due - Nov 10, 2025
